Registered Nurse – Short Stay Observation Unit Position Highlights As a Registered Nurse, you will provide individualized, high-quality care to cancer patients and their families in alignment with hospital standards, the ANA Code of Ethics, and regulatory guidelines. You’ll embody Moffitt Nursing’s vision and philosophy, focusing on patient- and family-centered care through Duffy’s Quality Caring Model, which emphasizes collaboration, dignity, respect, and a healing environment. Responsibilities • Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for cancer patients and families. • Integrate patient- and family-centered care principles and quality caring factors into daily practice. • Provide patient education based on individual learning needs. • Participate in evidence-based improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development. Ideal Candidate We are seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care for postoperative observation patients requiring overnight hospital stays. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in: • Pain management and patient comfort • Patient education to support recovery and self‑care • Drain care and postoperative monitoring • Effective communication skills with patients, families, and the healthcare team • Proficiency in admission and discharge processes • Strong teamwork and collaboration across disciplines • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport This role requires a nurse who is empathetic, detail‑oriented, and committed to delivering safe, high‑quality care in a supportive environment.. Credentials & Qualifications • Education: BSN with 1 year of relevant experience or ASN with 1 year of relevant experience may be considered. • Licensure: Current Florida RN license. • Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS).
Salary Range
$35.05 - $52.56
