Job Summary
We are seeking a Field Service Installation Technician to join our team. The primary focus of this role is the professional installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electronic equipment (such as GPS tracking, telematics, cameras, sensors, and two way radios) within fleet vehicles. This position requires the ability to work both independently and as a team in a field service environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Installation: Perform clean, professional, and reliable installation of various electronic equipment into fleet vehicles (light-duty, heavy-duty trucks, vans, and school buses).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose, repair, and maintain installed electronic hardware and associated wiring issues using diagnostic tools and meters (multimeter, etc.).
- System Configuration: Configure and test installed equipment to ensure full functionality.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all necessary paperwork and testing documentation.
- Inventory Management: Manage and track assigned inventory, ensuring all parts and tools are maintained and available for service.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of tools and equipment.
- Customer Interaction: Professionally interact with clients on-site to explain work performed and answer technical questions.
Qualifications
- Experience: Experience in automotive electronics installation, low-voltage wiring, or field service technical roles (experience with telematics, GPS, or camera systems is a strong plus).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient understanding of automotive electrical systems (12V DC).
- Expertise in soldering, crimping, and electrical connection techniques.
- Familiarity with various vehicle types and body panel removal/installation.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
