Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the optimal operation, safety, and upkeep of our facilities. This energetic role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems to support a safe and efficient environment. Duties
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical circuits, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and mechanical components.
- Perform welding tasks and residential painting as needed to maintain facility appearance and integrity.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage inventory.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose problems accurately.
- Supervise or assist with projects involving electrical wiring, mechanical repairs, or welding tasks to ensure safety standards are met.
- Lead or support team members in facilities maintenance activities while promoting safety protocols and best practices.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing to ensure systems operate within specified parameters.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety regulations at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from internal teams or tenants.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or residential settings.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation tasks.
- Skilled in welding techniques suitable for repair or fabrication projects.
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance management purposes.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervising experience in a maintenance environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques for aesthetic upkeep of facilities.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail during maintenance procedures.
