Occupational Therapy Assistant Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Provide skilled therapy services in a SNF setting
- Help patients improve function, safety, mobility, independence, and daily living skills
- Complete timely and accurate documentation
- Communicate with patients, families, physicians, nursing staff, and therapy team members
- Assist with program development and patient-care initiatives
- Support quality outcomes and a positive patient experience
- Assist with the general operation and success of the therapy department
Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Minnesota Occupational Therapy Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain Minnesota licensure
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Interest in skilled nursing, older adult care, and community-based therapy
- Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team
- New graduates and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistants are encouraged to apply
