Job Summary
Join our vibrant team as a Front of House Staff/Cashier and be the welcoming face of our vibrant Italian corner! Whether you're taking orders, managing food prep stations, or assisting with food safety and sanitation, your role is vital in creating a memorable visit for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments using Toast POS systems.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math to give correct change.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the front counter, dining area, and food prep stations in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance sales opportunities while providing excellent customer service.
- Support food handling procedures, including serving food, bussing tables, and ensuring proper food safety practices.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high standards of service.
- Stock/restocking supplies and when needed
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in a fast-paced environment, and multitask efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs, bend, squat, climb without accomodations
- Experience with food preparation or culinary tasks is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. - Team work is essential! We work on a tip pool system. There is no "one man for himself at Aromas Italian Grill." Everyone must work efficiently and Considerately as a team.
PAY: FOH/Cashiers work off of an hourly base pay + Tip pool. Hourly ranges from $9-$13 an hour PLUS tips (hourly based off experience) . The potential of earning $15-$20+/hr
SCHEDULE: We do not have any "morning" or "overnight" shifts. Please be aware of our hours of operation before applying or requesting shifts that are not applicable. Shifts are between the hours of 10am and 9pm.

Base Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
