Ministry Function:
The International Program Research Advisor supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope (COH) by providing research on key trends and policies related to international relief and development work from a faith-based perspective, and structuring and executing proprietary research to inform IP strategic decision-making and impact evaluation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Advises specialists and field staff on best practices as related to standards, approaches, and guidelines in community development and research and disseminates briefs accordingly.

Provides consultation to headquarters (HQ) IP working group on various projects, including grant research and technical writing, as related to IP strategy as needed.

Structures research projects and provides appropriate training on research execution in coordination with HQ and international team leaders

Conducts research and provides accompanying assessment reports for projects as assigned.

Surveys and resources on internal data interpretation in support of IP programming by request.

Develops learning tools for training as needed in support of HQ specialists and field staff.

In collaboration with Strategic Alliances and IP Leadership, proactively develops research strategy to support Impact analyses and strategic decision-making

Develops and maintains relationships with academia and the research functions within peer organizations

Fulfills all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Five years’ experience in international work is required. A master’s degree in International Development, International Affairs, Data Science, or a related field is required.

Portfolio demonstrating a background in learning, training, and resourcing.

Experience working and/or living internationally is preferred with an understanding of global context and cross-cultural learning.

Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, presentation and computer skills.

Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as requested.

Exhibits strong Mac or PC proficiency and working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn other COH systems as needed.

Must be at least 25 years of age to be eligible for this position due to organizational driving and insurance requirements.
