Position Overview
We are seeking a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) to support students in a district near South Hill, VA. In this role, you’ll help students build the functional, sensory, and motor skills needed for success in the classroom and daily school activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and screenings
- Develop and implement IEP goals and treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services (fine motor, sensory, self-help skills)
- Track student progress and maintain required documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and student planning
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Virginia OT license
- NBCOT certification preferred
- School-based experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
