Chipeta Lodge Resort + Spa is a boutique mountain retreat in the heart of Colorado’s San Juan Mountains. We host weddings, private events, and retreats that showcase exceptional food, beverage, and warm hospitality. We are seeking On-Call Banquet Servers / Bartenders to support our growing events program.
Position Overview
This on-call role supports banquet and catering operations for weddings, private events, and resort functions. Ideal candidates are flexible, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Shifts are scheduled based on event needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and break down banquet and event spaces (tables, linens, glassware, service stations)
- Provide food and beverage service for weddings, events, and group functions
- Bartend for events, including preparing cocktails, beer, and wine service (as needed)
- Deliver attentive, professional guest service throughout each event
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas during and after events
- Follow event timelines and work closely with the kitchen and event team
- Ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and safety standards
What We’re Looking For
- Previous banquet serving or bartending experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible, on-call hours including nights and weekends
- Team-oriented, dependable, and detail-focused
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
- TIPS or alcohol service certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Compensation & Perks
- $15–$17/hour base pay (based on experience)
