Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Maintenance Person to join our team in Hamburg, NJ. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance, electrical systems, plumbing, painting, drywall and minor structural repairs, with the ability to work independently and efficiently. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in maintenance to contribute to a well-maintained environment.
Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on interior of building.
- Install, change, fix electrical issues, light fixtures.
- Install, change, fix Plumbing issues and plumbing fixtures.
- Painting, drywall repair.
- Minor carpentry work, and locksmithing work (changing locks)
- Tile work and vinyl plank flooring. Flooring repairs and install. Wall tile repair and install.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and facility protocols
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants and management
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance, electrical work
- working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, structural systems, tiling, flooring, drywall, painting and codes.
- maintenance tracking and reporting
- Understanding of safety procedures related to electrical, mechanical, and general facility maintenance
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and documentation
Ideal Candidate should have their own basic tools, live within 20 minutes of Hamburg, New Jersey.
