Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, pastries, cakes, and confections following established recipes and standards
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and decorating tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure food safety and hygiene compliance
- Package baked items securely for retail or catering purposes while ensuring presentation quality
- Assist in food handling and preparation tasks for catering events or restaurant service
- Adhere strictly to food safety management protocols and sanitation procedures
- Support the team with high-volume production tasks, ensuring timely delivery of products
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, baking, or pastry preparation within a fast-paced environment
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in cake decorating and pastry arts
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to follow detailed recipes accurately and consistently
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy kitchen setting
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portioning products accurately
- Previous experience working with kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and other culinary tools
- Customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Catering or restaurant experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for entry-level candidates
