Summary:
Provides clerical support to patient care units. Works with the ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of the goals of Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare and HIPAA regulations. Accountable for, but not limited to, performance improvement activities, infection control guidelines and safety.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Current CNA certificate
Current CPR certification
NRP required, can complete after employment
Responsibilities:
Ability to learn how to use, care for, clean, assemble and disassemble equipment, set up and maintain sterile fields
Computer and order entry skills preferred
Good communication skills and legible handwriting
Ability to meet and work with the public
Good physical and emotional health to work under stress and emergent situations
Organizational and teamwork skills
Flexibility and ability to function within team concept with commitment to quality
Must be able to understand and apply principles of aseptic and sterile techniques
Able to perform tasks as outlined in OB Technician job description
