- Local is longer hours our daily, but has more home time
Position Summary: OTR Truck Driver / Regional Driver
An Over-the-Road (OTR) and Regional Driver is responsible for transporting goods and materials across long or mid-range distances, typically crossing multiple states or regions. Regional drivers operate within a smaller geographical area and are typically home most weekends. Both roles require professionalism, punctuality, and a commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
Drivers spend extended periods on the road (or a few days at a time for Regional), ensuring timely, efficient deliveries while adhering to all federal and state transportation regulations.
Local Commercial Driver
Primary Focus: High-efficiency transit within a 250-mile radius.
Position Overview
The Local Driver role is a high-utilization position operating within a 250-mile radius of the OKC yard. This role is for drivers who value being home daily but have the stamina and time-management skills required for full 14-hour service days. Because this role pushes the boundaries of a single day’s legal limit, efficiency and mastery of our digital systems are mandatory.
The Professional Standard (No Babysitting)
We operate on a foundation of trust and autonomy. Once dispatched, you are expected to execute your route punctually without constant supervision. You must use the TMS to stay ahead of your schedule; in a 250-mile turn, one late stop can "snowball" and derail the entire day’s efficiency for the fleet.
Core Responsibilities:
- Transport Cargo: Safely operate a commercial truck to deliver goods across state lines.
- Route Planning: Plan efficient routes, accounting for weather, traffic, and road conditions. Punctuality is a MUST!
- Vehicle Maintenance & Equipment Care: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any mechanical issues.
- Compliance: Follow all DOT regulations, including Hours-of-Service (HOS) rules.
- Record Keeping: Accurately log hours, mileage, delivery records, and more.
- Customer Service: Communicate professionally with dispatchers, clients, and team members.
- Time Management: Maximize the daily 14-hour clock to ensure all turns are completed legally and equipment is returned to the yard nightly.
- TMS Mastery: Mandatory use of TMS for accepting dispatch, uploading real-time photos of signed BOLs, and monitoring pay.
- Emergency Preparedness: Drivers must keep cabs "ready-duty" (stocked with basic supplies/overnight gear) in the event of unforeseen delays or weather.
Requirements:
- Valid Class A CDL
- Clean driving record
- Willingness to be on the road for extended periods (OTR typically 2–4 weeks)
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and freight logistics
- Ability to lift and secure loads (if needed — most freight is no-touch)
- Experience in long-haul trucking preferred (but not required)
- No failed or refused UAs
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Regional drivers: Out 2–3 days at a time, home most weekends
- OTR drivers: Typically out for 2–4 weeks at a time
- Local: Long days, home daily
- Mix of OTR/Regional available for increased income potential
- Overnight stays in sleeper cabs or rest stops
- Deliveries may include nights, weekends, or holidays
Compensation & Benefits:
- Top earners make $92,000–$95,000 annually
- Flexible scheduling – your life, your choice
- Home time with family – we make it a priority
- Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance – after 60 days
