Truck‑Lite is seeking a hands‑on, solutions‑driven Manufacturing Automation Project Engineer to support our McElhattan, PA operation. In this role, you will help ensure smooth plant operations, lead facility and capital improvement projects, and apply advanced manufacturing techniques that strengthen our production and distribution capabilities.
You’ll be the go‑to resource for troubleshooting equipment and automation challenges, guiding maintenance team members, and driving innovation across processes such as assembly, molding, harness manufacturing, and material handling. This position plays a key part in supporting new product introductions (NPI), lifecycle management (LCM) programs, and the continued modernization of our facilities.

Responsibilities
Lead plant and facility capital projects that directly improve performance and reliability
Apply advanced manufacturing methods, including automation, conveyor systems, and assembly technologies
Partner with Maintenance to solve chronic equipment and system issues
Contribute to new product and process development efforts
Work on prototypes and innovation initiatives in molding, distribution, and harness manufacturing
Manage budgets and timelines for automation and assembly improvements
Support compliance with corporate technology and export‑control requirements
Qualifications
2‑ or 4‑year degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field
Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLC), Servo Control Systems, and HMI’s. Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradley) experience is preferred
Ability to create and modify schematic drawings using AutoCAD software.
Proficiency with PLC ladder logic, HMI, and SCADA
Prefer 3 years minimum experience with Industrial Controls Systems and knowledge of electrical theory and principles of operation
