Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Paralegal / MUST HAVE PARALEGAL CERTIFICATE to join our dynamic legal team. Duties
- Assist attorneys with case preparation by conducting legal research across diverse areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and more.
- Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Draft, review, and proofread legal documents, contracts, pleadings, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Conduct thorough document review and analysis for civil litigation support, personal injury cases, patent law matters, and other legal proceedings.
- Support client communication efforts by scheduling interviews, maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information, and providing exceptional client service.
- Maintain case files meticulously, ensuring all records are up-to-date and compliant with procedural law requirements.
- Perform administrative tasks including data entry, filing, transcription, and managing incoming calls with professional phone etiquette to support the legal team’s daily operations.
Skills
- Proven experience with legal research tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw; familiarity with legal case management software.
- Strong project management skills to handle multiple cases efficiently while adhering to deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail in document review and proofreading.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) for drafting documents and managing data; experience with document management systems is a plus.
- Effective interviewing techniques for client intake; adept at handling confidential information responsibly.
- Superior written communication skills for drafting clear legal documents; capable of transcribing accurately when needed.
- Knowledge of procedural law to support litigation processes; ability to conduct thorough legal research across various jurisdictions.
- Strong clerical experience including filing, data entry, and administrative support; excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills including professional phone etiquette; ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
