Back of House Team Member (Cook)
Starting Pay: $21–$23/hour (based on experience).
We’re looking for dependable, hardworking cooks who take pride in preparing quality food and being part of a strong team.
At Bari Pasta & Pizza, every cook plays an important role. This is not a position where you only work one station we work together wherever we’re needed to ensure every guest receives great food and great service.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare pizzas, pastas, salads, and other menu items according to our recipes and standards.
- Prepare ingredients including chopping vegetables, making sauces, cooking noodles, and completing daily prep.
- Toss pizza dough and assemble pizzas.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as slicers and other food prep equipment safely.
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout your shift.
- Restock ingredients and prep items before they run low.
- Help other stations whenever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has previous kitchen experience (pizza and pasta experience is highly preferred).
- Learns recipes quickly and follows directions well.
- Takes initiative without needing constant supervision.
- Notices when ingredients are running low and proactively completes prep.
- Works well independently and with a team.
- Communicates clearly with coworkers during busy shifts.
- Maintains a positive attitude, even under pressure.
- Takes pride in cleanliness, organization, and consistency.
Schedule & Requirements
- Weekend availability is required (Friday–Sunday).
- Our restaurants operate 7 days a week from 10:00 AM–10:00 PM, so flexible availability is important.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and ready to contribute wherever the team needs support.
