Overview
The Assembly Team Leader is responsible for assisting and leading the Assembly department in the provision of all assembling activities necessary to meet the requirements of the entire operation.
Key Responsibilities
· Work closely with planner & plant manager on customer requirements and repairs for services required
· Travel periodically to customer for service work
· Disassemble and assemble gearboxes and clutches
· Lift bearings, set the bearings in the gear box
· Read measurement equipment’s
· Use impact guns to remove bolts from gear boxes and clutches
· Lead the Assembly team in day to day operations with instructions from planner & plant manager
· Train all Assembly team members on all job aspects of the Assembly department.
· Train and development of assembly & service staff to maintain & expand
· Additional duties as required.
· Undertaking of special duties and projects as required
· Participate in maintaining the integrity of the quality management
· Read and interpret blueprints, basic schematics, and technical drawings to understand installation and repair requirements
· Background in fabricating or replacing parts using machine shop equipment when needed (strongly desired)
· Inspect and troubleshoot malfunctioning gearboxes to identify problems and plan repairs
· Move and transport heavy equipment using cranes, dollies, rollers, and trucks
Experience and Skills
· Post-secondary education
· Mechanical Aptitude/Mechanical background
· Forklift/Crane Experience
· Attention to accuracy and detail
· Good communication skills for coordinating with others

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour
