Responsibilities
Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in fast-paced settings.
Triage incoming ER patients and prioritize treatment based on acuity.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and protocol.
Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality standards.
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and contribute to performance targets.
Monitor patient status, document findings, and communicate changes to the team.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans.
Participate in ongoing professional development and pursue opportunities for advancement.
Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions.
Maintain an organized and clean ER environment to optimize workflow.
Adhere to contract terms, on-site shifts, and assist with coverage as needed.
Experience/Qualifications
Active RN license with Emergency Department/ACLS certification.
Minimum 2 years ER nursing experience in fast-paced settings.
Proficiency in triage, rapid assessment, and prioritization of acuity.
Strong knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and quality standards.
Ability to administer medications per orders and document accurately.
Experience tracking KPIs and contributing to performance targets.
Excellent communication skills for team huddles and handoffs.
Demonstrated collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to adjust care plans.
Ability to educate patients/families and provide clear discharge instructions.
Willingness to work on-site, adhere to shifts, and assist coverage as needed.
