Our client in the healthcare architectural solutions industry is seeking an experienced Healthcare Sales Representative to drive business development and expand market presence throughout the healthcare sector. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional with experience selling into hospitals, health systems, physician practices, senior living communities, and other healthcare environments.
The Healthcare Sales Representative will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, cultivating long-term client relationships, and managing projects from initial opportunity through installation and completion. This individual will collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, healthcare executives, and internal teams to deliver innovative furniture and architectural solutions that support patient care, caregiver efficiency, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate is a consultative sales professional with exceptional relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, and a proven ability to manage complex sales cycles while exceeding revenue goals.
- Develop and execute strategic territory and account plans to achieve sales, profitability, and market growth objectives.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within hospitals, health systems, ambulatory care centers, physician practices, behavioral health facilities, and senior living communities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare executives, facility leaders, procurement teams, architects, interior designers, contractors, and vendor partners.
- Conduct client meetings, product presentations, and solution-based sales demonstrations tailored to healthcare environments.
- Promote innovative healthcare furniture and architectural solutions that enhance patient experience, caregiver efficiency, infection prevention, safety, and wellness.
- Generate new business through networking, referrals, industry events, professional associations, and strategic partnerships.
- Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the sales process and project lifecycle, ensuring exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with design, project management, client services, and manufacturing partners to develop customized furniture and workplace solutions.
- Coordinate product selections, pricing, specifications, budgets, proposals, bid responses, and RFP submissions.
- Support project execution from initial planning through installation while maintaining strong communication with all stakeholders.
- Maintain knowledge of healthcare furniture trends, evidence-based design principles, procurement processes, and emerging healthcare delivery models.
- Leverage knowledge of Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), including Vizient, Premier, HealthTrust, and cooperative purchasing agreements to identify competitive opportunities.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline, accurately forecast revenue, and update CRM systems with customer activity, opportunities, and forecasts.
- Monitor healthcare construction projects, market trends, competitive activity, and business development opportunities throughout the assigned territory.
- Participate in sales meetings, training programs, healthcare conferences, networking events, and other industry functions.
- Represent the organization professionally while supporting strategic initiatives and additional projects as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, Interior Design, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5+ years of healthcare sales experience strongly preferred.
- Experience selling within the contract furniture, healthcare furniture, architectural products, commercial interiors, construction, healthcare real estate, or related industries preferred.
- Demonstrated success building long-term client relationships in a consultative sales environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare procurement processes, healthcare construction projects, and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) such as Vizient, Premier, and HealthTrust preferred.
- Understanding of healthcare facility operations, healthcare design, furniture systems, and clinical environments.
- Existing relationships within healthcare systems, design firms, contractors, or healthcare networks are highly desirable.
- Experience utilizing CRM platforms and sales tracking systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and sales opportunities simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.
