Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Physical Therapist to conduct CPSE evaluations for preschool-aged children. The ideal candidate will have experience working with young children and a strong understanding of motor development, pediatric conditions such as developmental delays, and school-based eligibility criteria. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct physical therapy evaluations for children ages 3–5 referred through the CPSE.
- Administer standardized assessments (e.g., PDMS-2, BOT-2) and informal measures as appropriate.
- Observe and document motor function, balance, posture, mobility, and overall physical development.
- Prepare comprehensive written evaluation reports with clear clinical impressions and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Licensed Physical Therapist in New York State.
- Pediatric experience required; experience with CPSE evaluations strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of standardized pediatric motor assessments and IEP development.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage evaluation caseload efficiently.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to evaluation sites (home, daycare, or center-based settings).
