Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles including standard passenger cars, pickup trucks, and commercial vehicles such as limousines or shuttle buses.
- Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize travel time and efficiency while considering traffic conditions and adverse weather.
- Load and unload cargo or luggage using manual handling techniques or equipment like pallet jacks when necessary.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine safety checks to ensure optimal operation.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and fleet GPS tracking guidelines to ensure compliance and security during every trip.
- Communicate effectively with clients or team members via mobile devices for scheduling updates or route adjustments.
- Assist with special transportation needs such as heavy haul loads, tanker deliveries, or moving services when required.
Experience
- Proven experience operating passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, or specialized vehicles such as limousines, school buses, or tractor-trailers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of GPS navigation tools and route planning for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes.
- Familiarity with commercial driving licenses (CDL), manual transmission operation, air brake systems, and tanker vehicle handling is preferred.
- Experience in customer service roles that require professional communication skills and a courteous demeanor.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere to safe lifting practices during cargo handling or moving tasks.
- Prior work involving fleet management systems with GPS tracking and safety protocol adherence is advantageous.
