Overview
We are looking for an exceptional Medical Assistant who is caring, compassionate, pleasant, hardworking, likes working with kids, and a team player, to become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in an established Pediatrician's office.
In this role, you will support the Pediatrician by performing clinical and administrative duties that ensure smooth clinic operations and outstanding patient experiences. Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating records, and verifying insurance information using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates, weight and height with precision and professionalism.
- Perform clinical tasks including administering vaccines, administering medications under supervision, and supporting physician during procedures when necessary.
- Support physician by maintaining exam rooms and clinical supplies, including ordering supplies.
- Performing phone triage, scheduling, referrals and insurance prior authorizations.
- Manage electronic medical records accurately, and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
- Provide exemplary patient service by answering questions, offering reassurance, and coordinating follow-up appointments or referrals efficiently.
Skills
- Some knowledge of the ambulatory care environment
- A willingness to work with children and their parents.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems management along with strong medical documentation skills.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Experience in vital signs collection, and intake processes, in administration of Intramuscular and Subcutaneous injections.
- phone triage.
- Ability to navigate complex medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to support accurate patient assessments.
- Excellent patient service and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Cantonese speaking is advantageous but not necessary.

Pay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hour
