Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounting and HR Assistant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in managing financial records, supporting payroll processes, and assisting with human resources functions. Duties
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Paylocity, Acumatica & Procore.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, balance sheets, and bank statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Support payroll management through platforms like Paylocity & Acumatica processing employee hours, benefits, and tax information.
- Conduct account analysis and prepare journal entries for various financial transactions including debits & credits and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities related to governmental accounting standards.
- Support HR functions such as maintaining employee records, processing onboarding documentation, and assisting with benefits administration.
- Perform account reconciliation tasks including accounts payable/receivable and general ledger reconciliation to ensure data integrity.
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing reports for management review.
Experience
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or governmental accounting environments with a strong understanding of financial concepts
- Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Procore, Paylocity or similar platforms;
- Knowledge of payroll systems including Quickbooks, Paylocity & Acumatica Expense Management experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with GAAP standards compliance requirements for financial reporting and internal controls.
- Prior experience in public accounting or non-profit accounting is preferred but not required.
- Strong skills in data entry, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, and bookkeeping practices.
- Excellent math skills with high attention to detail for account reconciliation and account analysis tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour
