Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling, coloring, and finishing services tailored to each client’s preferences and needs
- Perform specialized treatments such as hair extensions, eyelash extensions, nail care, and hair threading with precision and care
- Utilize salon software systems like MINDBODY for appointment scheduling, client management, and retail sales tracking
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and sanitation procedures in accordance with health regulations
- Deliver outstanding customer service by listening actively, communicating clearly, and ensuring clients leave satisfied and confident
- Manage daily store operations including front desk duties, appointment bookings, retail product upselling, and inventory management
- Mentor junior stylists and team members through training sessions on techniques like color theory, straight razor shaves, makeup application, and retail math to foster skill development and teamwork
Skills
- Extensive experience in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, styling, and advanced treatments like hair extensions and straight razors
- Strong knowledge of salon software platforms such as MINDBODY for efficient scheduling and client management
- Proficiency in retail sales strategies with a focus on upselling products like hair care items and cosmetics
- Excellent communication skills to connect with clients effectively while providing personalized recommendations
- Deep understanding of sanitation standards to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff
- Ability to perform specialized services such as eyelash extensions, nail care, hair threading, and makeup application confidently
- Store management skills including team mentoring, front desk operations, retail math calculations, and maintaining a positive salon atmosphere
