Human Resources Manager

Reports To: Practice Administrator
Status: Full-Time (36 to 40 Hours per Week)
Position Summary
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for supporting the day-to-day human resources, payroll, benefits, and bookkeeping functions of the organization. This position serves as the primary internal resource for employees and providers regarding payroll, benefits, onboarding, and HR-related questions while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in all areas.
This role also manages payroll processing, QuickBooks Online (QBO) bookkeeping support, and administrative HR functions. The Human Resources Manager works closely with leadership and may utilize the organization’s Paychex Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) for guidance on complex employee relations or compliance matters.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, computer savvy, and comfortable managing multiple systems and responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare office environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Human Resources & Employee Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee questions regarding benefits, payroll, HR procedures, and policies.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and general benefits administration.
- Maintain employee and provider personnel files and HR records with strict confidentiality.
- Support management and staff with HR-related administrative functions.
- Coordinate with Paychex HRBP for guidance on complex HR or compliance matters.
- Assist with maintaining employee handbook, forms, and HR procedures.
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule through Paychex or designated payroll platform.
- Review payroll reports, employee deductions, PTO tracking, and payroll changes for accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with applicable payroll laws and regulations.
- Coordinate payroll-related employee updates including new hires, terminations, compensation adjustments, and benefit deductions.
- Maintain payroll documentation and reporting records.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Maintain financial records and bookkeeping functions using QuickBooks Online (QBO).
- Perform payroll reconciliations and assist with bank and account reconciliations.
- Assist with journal entries, invoice tracking, expense management, and other bookkeeping duties.
- Handling payables
- Collaborate with leadership and accounting professionals to maintain accurate financial records.
Administrative Support
- Maintain confidentiality regarding employee, provider, payroll, financial, and organizational information.
- Organize and maintain HR and accounting documentation and records.
- Support office efficiency and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll, bookkeeping, HR administration, or office management preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) preferred.
- Payroll processing and reconciliation experience preferred.
- Experience with employee benefits administration required.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Computer savvy with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, payroll systems, accounting software, and other office technology platforms.
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $60,185.93 - $72,481.98 per year
