Mike’s Westside Rental is a Texas-owned equipment rental company known for dependable equipment, responsive service, and a strong, team-driven culture. As we continue to grow across Texas, we’re looking for another experienced Accounts Receivable Associate to join our AR Team.
This role is critical to delivering a seamless customer experience while protecting the financial health of the business. We are specifically seeking someone with proven AR experience who can confidently manage customer accounts, communicate effectively, and uphold strong financial discipline.
About the Role
As an Accounts Receivable Associate, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive accurate, timely billing and clear, professional communication regarding their accounts.
You’ll partner with customers, sales teams, and branch operations to resolve issues quickly, maintain trust, and keep accounts in good standing. Your ability to balance customer relationships with firm financial accountability will directly support MWR’s continued growth.
What You’ll Do
- Apply customer payments and reconcile accounts in Point of Rental (POR) and accounting systems
- Monitor aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due balances with a professional, solutions-focused approach
- Maintain a structured AR follow-up cadence to ensure consistent, timely customer communication
- Document all collection activities and maintain detailed communication logs
- Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies, ensuring a positive and professional customer experience
- Send monthly customer statements and support ongoing account maintenance
- Review and set up new customer accounts, including credit applications, credit limits, and documentation
- Enforce company credit policies, including coordinating credit holds when necessary to protect the business
- Support lien notice, waiver, and COI tracking processes to protect company receivables
- Track lien deadlines and ensure consistent, compliant filing practices
- Partner with branch managers and sales reps to ensure accurate job information, POs, and documentation are captured upfront
- Assist with month-end close activities, AR reconciliations, and reporting
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of hands-on Accounts Receivable or collections experience (required)
- Experience in construction, equipment rental, or service-based industries (required)
- Proven ability to manage customer accounts, collections, and dispute resolution with confidence
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy
- Experience with accounting systems (Point of Rental strongly preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to balance customer service and financial accountability
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
