Position Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing strategic relationships with referral sources, including law firms, attorneys, case managers, and other professionals involved in personal injury cases. This role combines field marketing, account management, and case coordination to ensure strong referral partnerships, exceptional service, and seamless communication throughout the lifecycle of active cases.
The ideal candidate is highly relationship-driven, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities while serving as a trusted liaison between the company, legal partners, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Referral Source Development & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with personal injury attorneys, law firms, paralegals, legal assistants, and case managers.
- Conduct regular in-person visits to referral sources to strengthen partnerships and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute referral development strategies to increase case volume and market presence.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned referral accounts.
- Monitor referral activity and provide ongoing support to ensure partner satisfaction and retention.
Field Marketing & Business Development
- Represent the organization at networking events, legal conferences, industry functions, and community outreach activities.
- Create and implement marketing initiatives designed to increase brand awareness and referral growth.
- Identify and pursue new referral partnerships within the personal injury and healthcare communities.
- Deliver presentations and educational materials to referral partners regarding company services and processes.
- Maintain accurate records of marketing activities, referral interactions, and business development efforts.
Case Coordination & Account Support
- Work closely with attorneys, case managers, and internal teams to coordinate active personal injury cases.
- Facilitate communication between legal partners and operational staff to ensure timely case progression.
- Obtain and track required documentation, including medical records, lien information, treatment updates, insurance documents, and other case-related materials.
- Follow up on outstanding requests to ensure complete and accurate documentation.
- Assist with resolving issues or concerns that may arise during the management of active cases.
Client & Partner Service Excellence
- Ensure referral partners receive timely updates and responsive communication.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive client and case information.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve partner experiences and operational efficiency.
- Support internal teams in achieving service, growth, and retention objectives.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Communications, or related field highly desired; equivalent experience may be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in account management, business development, field marketing, healthcare marketing, legal marketing, personal injury or a related role.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and business communication tools.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally for partner visits and events.
STRONGLY Preferred
- Experience working with personal injury law firms, medical providers, lien-based healthcare services, or legal support organizations.
- Understanding of personal injury case workflows and medical documentation processes.
- Established network within the legal or healthcare referral community.
