Job Overview
We are hiring Sales Associates for a fast-paced smoke shop. This is a sales-driven role, not just a cashier position.
You are expected to engage customers, recommend products, upsell, and increase transaction value on every sale.
Higher performers will be placed at the top of the pay range.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide strong product recommendations
- Upsell add-ons, bundles, and higher-margin products
- Educate customers on vapes, cigarillos, accessories, and promotions
- Process transactions using POS system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked store
- Promote current deals (BOGO, bundles, etc.)
- Help drive daily sales goals
Requirements
- 1+ year retail or sales experience required
- Strong communication and customer interaction skills
- Must be comfortable actively selling and upselling
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to stand for full shifts
- Must be 21+
Compensation
- $10 – $12/hour (based on experience and performance)
- Higher pay reserved for strong sellers and reliable employees
