Manufacturing Engineer

Supports engineering projects by developing accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings that translate engineering and architectural designs into detailed plans for products, equipment, and structures.
Job Requirements
- Extensive working knowledge of AutoCAD for 2D and 3D technical drawing development.
- Ability to analyze engineering sketches, layouts, and design specifications to create technical drawings.
- Knowledge of engineering practices, drafting standards, and applicable industry standards.
- Advanced mathematical skills for technical drawing and layout development.
- Ability to perform physical measurements to create and update layouts.
- Experience with manufacturing tools and equipment used to support prototype and pilot builds.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office for data analysis, documentation, and presentation development.
- Availability to work overtime and/or weekends as required by project deliverables.
Preferred Skills
- Previous manufacturing experience in the automotive or truck industry.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop technical drawings based on engineering and architectural designs.
- Create and update 2D and 3D layouts using AutoCAD.
- Review design specifications, sketches, and engineering documentation to develop accurate drawings.
- Verify technical drawings for accuracy, dimensional requirements, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project reviews between engineering departments and other project stakeholders.
- Perform physical measurements of equipment, work areas, and facilities to support layout development.
- Place and follow up on purchase orders for tooling and equipment required for engineering projects.
- Create and maintain problem follow-up sheets to track corrective actions and completion of project activities.
- Support prototype and pilot build activities involving manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Prepare project analysis, documentation, reports, and executive presentations using Microsoft Office.
