JOB DESCRIPTION
Visually inspect and test fire hydrants. Looks for any malfunction and discusses operation variations with supervisors. Reports problems or necessary repairs. Maintains written and computer records of inspection, operation, and maintenance activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Have basic knowledge of plumbing and mechanical systems.
- Computer/iPad proficient.
- Use hands, eyes, and fingers to adjust equipment, tighten or loosen bolts, screws or connectors.
- Work safely in traffic areas.
- Be able to lift and carry items weighing over 50lbs.
- Must have developed language skills to be able to read and interpret instructions, training, and work rules.
- Operates in a safe manner at all times.
High School Diploma or GED required. Must be able to pass a felony background check and a drug screen.
