Overview
We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and provisioning of critical telecommunications and network infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of voice, data, fiber optic, microwave, and satellite communication systems while supporting day-to-day network operations in a mission-critical environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform provisioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of telecommunications systems and network surveillance.
- Support private line services, message board systems, and network carrier facilities.
- Monitor network alarms, open and manage trouble tickets, and coordinate issue resolution to minimize service disruptions.
- Provide technical support to operations personnel and related stakeholders.
- Perform maintenance and support activities for telephone switches, PBX systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while performing assigned duties.
- Participate in shift schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and call out support as required.
Requirements
- FCC First Class Radiotelephone Operator License or FCC General Class License (can obtain within 1st year of employment)
- Analog and digital microwave radio systems
- Analog and digital multiplex equipment
- Telephone switching systems and PBXs
- Data transmission systems
- Protocol analyzers
- DC power systems, including battery plants, rectifiers, and inverters
- Fiber optic networks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years of telecommunications experience.
- Experience maintaining satellite earth station equipment.
- Knowledge of Frame Relay, ATM, and fiber optic communication systems.
- Industry-recognized telecommunications or networking certifications.

Pay: $43.44 - $49.87 per hour
