Position Summary:
The Member Sports Club located at Ocean Edge Resort is seeking a Front Desk Attendant whom will provide all Members and guests with a safe, clean and enjoyable fitness environment. To assist all members and guests at fitness facilities with requests courteously and efficiently, according to Ocean Edge standards. To always uphold the policies and procedures of Ocean Edge.

Desirable: Previous training in a fitness facility.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain complete knowledge of:
- All membership types and their amenities including guest passes and temporary passes.
- All equipment and services are available for guests at fitness areas.
- All safety and sanitation regulations for fitness facilities.
- Proper use of respective tools, equipment and supplies in the job functions.
- Check supply and equipment levels; report shortages to Director of Fitness. Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage and work areas throughout the shift.
- Remove trash and debris from all work areas and fitness areas.
- Check restrooms, showers and locker areas throughout the shift for supply levels, cleanliness and working order; rectify any deficiencies and clean sections as assigned with proper chemicals, tools and equipment.
- Answer department telephone within 3 rings with correct salutations and telephone etiquette. Check voicemail and follow up with any questions/messages.
- Greet guests; acknowledge guests however busy and whatever time of day; promote positive guest relations.
- Handle guest/resident complaints ensuring guest/resident satisfaction.
- Monitor all guest/resident activity in assigned work area; be alert to any sign of trouble. Ensure the safety of members and their guests.
- Always Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of fitness areas; remove debris, and clean equipment according to procedures.
- Complete all opening and closing duties as assigned following department procedures.
- Complete all appropriate paperwork.
- Exhibit a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and members and fellow employees.
- Report all pertinent information during the shift-to-shift replacement.
- Remove all dust, spots and smears from doors, windows and mirrors.
- Remove trash, debris and cobwebs from all areas, including corners.
- Inspect condition of planters and plants and remove any debris.
- Remove dust, dirt, marks and fingerprints from entrance door(s).
- Remove dust, dirt and smudges from vents, grids and thermostats.
- Remove dust, stains and marks from all baseboards, ledges and corners.
- Ensure the security of all FITNESS CENTER keys and pool facilities.
- Report any damage or maintenance problems to Engineering and Club Manager
- Enforce rules and regulations on a consistent basis.
- Other duties as assigned
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
