Mendham Golf & Tennis Club is seeking friendly, hardworking, and reliable bartenders to join our hospitality team as we close out our golf season and host fall, winter, and holiday events.
This is an hourly, seasonal position through mid-December, with the opportunity to return for our next season, which typically begins in late March. Weekend availability is preferred, with weekday availability also a strong plus.
We are looking for bartenders who are personable, dependable, good listeners, and take direction well. Bartending, restaurant, banquet, or private club experience is preferred. A strong knowledge of classic cocktails and beverage service is important, along with a willingness to learn our club's service standards.
This is a hands-on position. Bartenders should be comfortable with setup and breakdown, lifting and carrying, keeping the bar organized and stocked, and helping wherever needed. A positive attitude and strong team mentality are essential.
Building relationships with our membership is an important part of the role. Our members appreciate friendly, genuine, and attentive service, and bartenders who take the time to get to know members and their preferences are a great fit for our club.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve beverages with care and consistency
- Demonstrate knowledge of classic cocktails and proper drink preparation
- Set up and break down bar areas for service and events
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar
- Provide friendly and personalized service to members and guests
- Listen carefully and take direction well
- Assist with physical setup, lifting, carrying, and other event needs
- Work as part of a team to keep service running smoothly
- Clear communication with bar manager
- Build positive relationships with club members and guests
Qualifications
