A global manufacturing company located in the suburbs of Buffalo, NY is looking to add a Buyer to their team. This role is responsible for the acquisition of materials and services needed to meet manufacturing requirements.
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:
- Negotiating price, quality, and delivery for required materials in regards to the placement of purchase orders
- Processing purchase requisitions for materials
- Investigating all material variance reports and coordinating between supplier and quality and Engineering departments
- Assisting other department personnel on matters related to material acquisition
- Preparing and maintaining reports

Buyer Job Requirements
- Associate degree in Business Management or related field; Bachelor`s degree preferred
- 2-3 years of materials buying experience in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with large volume negotiations, government regulations and reports preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with online ERP manufacturing systems
- Knowledge of standard purchasing systems and procedures
