Duties
- Operate various saw machines, including band saws, circular saws, and automated cutting equipment to produce accurate cuts according to technical specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents to determine cutting requirements.
- Set up and calibrate saw machines using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial equipment like CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, press brakes, stamping presses, and CAM programming systems.
- Conduct quality control checks by measuring parts with shop math skills and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to verify specifications.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and materials handling tools; prepare parts for assembly or further processing.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, inspection results, and machine maintenance logs in compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating industrial saws and machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and technical drawing analysis.
- Familiarity with CNC programming, CAM programming, SolidWorks CAD software, and factory automation systems like Fanuc controllers.
- Ability to interpret production documents accurately and perform shop math calculations efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including welding, tooling setup, assembly line operations, and materials handling.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments; committed to maintaining a safe workspace at all times.
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with industrial equipment troubleshooting capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interpreting technical drawings and collaborating with team members.
