Job Overview:
As a Carpenter at Cactus Fabrication, you will play a crucial role in constructing custom displays, fixtures, and environments for our clients. You will work closely with our design and fabrication teams to bring creative concepts to life. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in carpentry, a strong understanding of fabrication techniques, and a passion for high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction: Build and assemble custom displays, fixtures, and environments according to design specifications and project requirements.
- Material Handling: Select and prepare appropriate materials, including wood, plywood, and other construction materials, for each project.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate construction.
- Tool Operation: Safely operate a variety of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and client specifications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other craftsmen to ensure seamless project execution.
- Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in carpentry or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Skilled in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials.
