FedEx Ground Driver
NOW HIRING: weekend residential and full-time business FedEx Ground Pickup & Delivery Drivers operating out of the Hayward, CA station. Driving experience with UPS, Amazon, previous FedEx companies, DHL, or Wal-Mart is required. Earn up to $30 per hour depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the truck for operation by inspecting general condition; checking fluid levels and tire pressure, load truck by ordering, placing, and securing items.
- Deliver and pick up packages by identifying destinations; establishing route; operating the truck; unloading items; maintaining schedule.
- Listen, understand, and resolve or forward all customer complaints
- Maintain truck cleanliness and operating efficiency by completing preventive maintenance requirements; alert management to any issues
- Maintain safe operation and clean appearance by complying with the organization’s operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state and local driving laws.
Required Skills
- At least one year of FedEx Ground pickup and delivery driving experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license (CDL not required).
- Clean driving record (No DUI, suspensions, or cell phone violations, and no moving violations in the past 5 years).
- Ability to lift and move up to 80 lb boxes (with hand trucks or dollies).
- Consent to a comprehensive background check, drug test, Department of Transportation Physical exam, and random screening throughout employment.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Fast learner and team player.
- Must be able to follow directions from navigation devices.
