Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant specializing in QA and Inventory management to join our team with a start time at 2pm. In this vital role, you will ensure the accuracy of inventory records, conduct quality assurance procedures, and support efficient warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will help maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and process improvement within our distribution center.
Duties
- Conduct quality assurance checks on incoming and outgoing inventory to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Perform detailed inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies using warehouse management systems and inventory software.
- Assist in data collection, data mining, and analysis to optimize stock levels and improve warehouse processes.
- Support procurement activities by sourcing materials, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating terms when necessary.
- Coordinate shipping & receiving activities, including order fulfillment, materials handling, and logistics management.
- Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies or process inefficiencies to implement corrective actions.
Skills
- Ability to perform root cause analysis and process improvement initiatives within a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with forklift operation (certification preferred), heavy lifting, materials handling equipment, and shipping & receiving procedures.
