Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cashier/Saucer to join our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will be the friendly face that ensures smooth transactions at the register while also assisting with food presentation and service. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, process transactions efficiently, and handle cash register operations with accuracy.
- Assist in plating and presenting food items according to established standards, ensuring visual appeal and quality.
- Support kitchen staff with food preparation tasks such as slicing, garnishing, and assembling dishes, including techniques like poaching, braising, grilling, and food production.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations by following food safety sanitizing procedures and proper food handling protocols.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively to support meal preparation and high-volume food production.
- Ensure adherence to recipe guidelines, portion control, and menu specifications during service.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional dining experiences in both casual and fine dining settings.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a food service role is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, food safety management, and sanitation standards.
- Demonstrated skills in food preparation techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and knife skills.
- Experience operating kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, slicers, and other culinary tools.
- Familiarity with high-volume production environments and catering experience is a plus.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of dietary department procedures and compliance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
