Duties
- Coordinate and schedule vehicle dispatches using transportation management systems and vehicle dispatch software, like Super Dispatch, Central Dispatch and others.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, brokers, customers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems and phone call management tools
- Monitor GPS and GIS data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations
- Manage car hauling shipments, shipping & receiving processes, and logistics documentation with accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Maintain internal communication channels to relay dispatch instructions, updates, and operational changes promptly
- Analyze transportation data to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall supply chain performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in dispatching within car hauling transportation operations or logistics environments
- Strong knowledge of transportation management systems such as Super Dispatch
- Familiarity with vehicle fleet management, freight handling, shipping & receiving procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation, reporting, and analysis tasks
- Excellent communication skills with professional phone etiquette and the ability to manage multi-line phone systems effectively
- Solid organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and record keeping
- Understanding of DOT regulations governing hours of service, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Ability to analyze transportation data for operational improvements using analysis skills
- Experience with GPS tracking systems, GIS technology, and vehicle dispatch software preferred
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle inquiries professionally and efficiently
