Job Title: Staff Pharmacist (Weekend & PRN Coverage)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide weekend and as-needed coverage at an inpatient behavioral health facility. This role supports pharmacy operations by ensuring safe and accurate medication management for adolescent and adult patients. Candidates with inpatient hospital or retail pharmacy experience are encouraged to apply.
Schedule:
- Coverage begins August 22, 2026
- Approximately one weekend per month, with additional PTO coverage as needed
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (PRN coverage)
- Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Weekend On-Call: 12:00 PM – 8:00 AM the following day
Required Orientation & Training:
- Mandatory Hospital Orientation: August 10–11, 2026
- Pharmacy Training: 3 weekdays during the week of August 17, 2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify and dispense medication orders accurately and safely.
- Review patient profiles, clinical data, allergies, and drug interactions before processing orders.
- Deliver medications to medication rooms and maintain floor stock.
- Refill automated dispensing cabinets and medication inventory.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and treatment plans.
- Provide drug information and answer medication-related questions from clinical staff and patients.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy regulations, facility policies, and patient safety standards.
- Work independently during weekend shifts without pharmacy technician support.
Qualifications:
- Active Arkansas Pharmacist License (Required)
- Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy or retail pharmacy
- Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
- Experience with automated dispensing systems (Omnicell) is a plus; training provided
- Experience with HCS order entry system is a plus; training provided
Facility Highlights:
- Inpatient behavioral health setting serving adolescent and adult patients
- Approximately 80 licensed beds
- Average daily census of 56 patients
