JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Boilermaker Date: January 2023
Classification: Hourly Reports to: Operations Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
General assembly of Boiler components including but not limited to tubing, insulation, refractory,
pipefittings, valves, and gauges. Perform assembly functions within the allotted time standards.
FUNCTIONS TO BE PERFORMED:
*** Run air/power hand tools and standard hand tools
*** Attach electrical wiring and shielded cable as required
*** Read and understand wiring schematics and piping layout
*** Cutting and threading of pipe
*** Ensure that parts are assembled on boiler per instructions for proper appearance and function
*** Read and interpret shop orders
*** Must be capable of training other employees in said department
*** Function with minimal amount of supervision
*** Able to reproduce all operations within acceptable quality guidelines
*** Prompt, dependable and reliable in work attendance
*** Perform other related duties as required
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
*** Able to communicate verbally and in writing and capable of following verbal or written instructions
*** Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds alone and 100 pounds with assistance
*** Able to work from ladders and scaffolding or perform duties with reasonable accommodation.
*** Able to grasp, bend, stoop, twist and squat or perform duties with reasonable accommodation.
*** Able to operate forklifts and overhead cranes
*** Ability to read blueprints
*** Ability to read and understand a tape measure
