The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for safely operating large commercial vehicles, transporting equipment/goods, performing inspections, and ensuring timely deliveries while complying with all safety and regulatory standards. This will be a part- time position with hours primarily on Saturday and Sunday. Occasional Friday and Monday hours may be required.

Safely loads and unloads equipment

Has LowboyRGN and dump experience

Drives trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.

Pulls a towed weight exceeding 10,000 lbs.

Ensures trailer hitch is properly and securely attached to the tractor unit

Picks up loads and organizes goods in an ordered, logical manner

Ensures contents are properly secured inside of the truck to prevent breakage or damage

Safely and efficiently handles and unloads goods at selected destinations

Obtains signatures complete deliveries with clients

Assists in mapping delivery routes

Stays on a predetermined route and ensures timely deliveries

Communicates with dispatch/customers as needed in a professional manner

Confirms contents of each shipment load matches the manifest document

Performs inspections of your vehicle prior to and following each trip

Check weather conditions and road reports before departure

Always ensures your vehicle is kept clean

Reports vehicle service needs to dispatch (oil changes, tire rotations, repairs, etc.)

Maintains vehicles as needed (refuel, checks tire pressure, etc.)

Notifies managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered

Notifies managers of any down time and asks for additional assignments

Follows delivery schedule and rests at appropriate times

Maintains detailed driving and delivery logs (Load sheet) and return to dispatch at the end of each day

Tracks and reports working hours

Adheres to company rules and regulations

Obeys all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions Makes safety a priority at all times

Maintains good attendance, is ontime and dependable

Performs other duties and responsibilities required by business conditions or as assigned by Management

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Valid Class A CDL required

Clean driving record with no moving violations

Must pass a background check and drug test

2+ years commercial/tractor trailer driving experience required
-
2+ years dump truck experience preferred
