The Accounting Assistant is a full-time member of the Accounting team responsible for supporting a variety of accounting and administrative functions. This role assists with data entry, invoice processing, recordkeeping, and general department support wherever needed. No two days are exactly alike, making it a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, learning new skills, and being part of a collaborative team.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform accurate, high-volume data entry into accounting systems
- Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice entry and payment preparation
- Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
- Organize and maintain electronic and paper accounting records
- Communicate professionally with vendors, carriers, and internal departments by phone and email
- Provide administrative support to the Accounting department as needed
- Cross-train in multiple accounting functions to provide backup support across the team
- Assist the EVP, Finance with special projects and additional responsibilities as needed
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous office, administrative, bookkeeping, accounting, or data entry experience preferred, but not required
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
