Assistant Nurse Managers assist with providing and integrating clinical leadership and management of a designated unit of patient care, consistent with the philosophy and goals of the institution, patient care service department, and clinical service; develops and sustains an environment of excellence in patient/family service, growth and development of staff, and application of evidence-based practice. The scope of practice encompasses the nursing process which is are cyclic, overlapping and interrelated through case finding, health teaching, health counseling and restoration of life and well-being.
We require:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Professional Nursing (Baccalaureate Degree in nursing preferred)
- Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse (RN) Licensure/Registration
- Current BLS for assigned areas of practice
- Must complete in-house orientation program
- Must complete annual mandatory in-service education (Hospital/Nursing)
- Speaks, reads and writes English
- Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Clinical experience/skills relevant to the assigned area of practice
- Computer proficiency
