We are looking for a team member who brings both skills and personality to our practice. The right candidate is a team oriented professional who is energetic, positive, and collaborative! Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during procedures and examinations ( four- handed dentistry).
- Chairside assisting Applying and shaping composite or amalgam fillings after the dentist prepares the tooth.
- Taking dental impressions.
- Fabricating, placing, and cementing temporary crowns or bridges.
- Packing and removing gingival retraction cord.
- Applying sealants and fluoride treatments.
- Placing and removing rubber dams.
- Administering or monitoring nitrous oxide.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments.
- Get treatment rooms ready by following infection control policies by disinfecting and gathering necessary sterilized equipment for treatment.
- Take dental X-rays.
- Record patient medical and dental histories along with taking vitals.
- Provided patient education on post treatment care.
- Explain and review dental treatment plans Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
Experience
- Associate’s Degree or technical school training program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (not required but preferred.
- On the job training anticipated Expanded Functions certification Current BLS/CPR certification is required.
- Dental Radiology License Required.
- Spanish Speaking ( not required but preferred)
- Familiarity with Eaglesoft is helpful, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, dental instruments, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention management.
- Strong understanding of healthcare infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety at all times.
- Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with patients and team members.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
