Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Lead Automotive Mechanic/Shop Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and mechanical knowledge to ensure vehicles are operating at their best. The Automotive Mechanic will work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality service to our customers. The salary will depend on experience, abilities, and first 90 days performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily work assignments and mechanical staff.
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs.
- Repair and replace faulty components such as engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Utilize power tools effectively for repairs and installations.
- Align wheels and adjust suspension systems to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Proficiency in diesel engine repair is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong background with automotive diagnostics tools and software.
- Ability to work with various power tools safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and perform tasks that require bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers regarding their vehicle needs.
- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications are a plus.
