Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, training and maintaining various machining equipment to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure that all products meet stringent quality standards. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment with precision and efficiency
- Program CNC machines using CAM programming software and interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce accurate parts
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration devices such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure precise measurements
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately for manufacturing processes
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and tooling to assist in assembly or finishing tasks as needed
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall productivity
Skills
- Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as Fanuc or similar control systems
- Strong understanding of GD&T principles for quality assurance
- Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes for complex component fabrication
- Skilled in SolidWorks and CAD software for designing and modifying parts or tooling
- Mechanical knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is a plus
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and utilize precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines
- Familiarity with CNC lathe and CNC milling machine operations in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency
- Ability to operate forklifts safely when required for material handling
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments
- Experience with assembly tasks using hand tools and power tools; welding skills are advantageous

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
