Job Overview:
As a Wedding DJ at Toast to That Entertainment, you will be responsible for setting the tone and atmosphere of wedding receptions, ensuring that every moment is enhanced by the right music. You will work closely with couples to understand their musical preferences, create customized playlists, and manage the flow of events, from the first dance to the last song of the night. This role requires not only technical DJ skills but also a keen sense of timing, audience engagement, and the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each event.
Key Responsibilities:
- Music Curation: Collaborate with couples to develop personalized playlists that reflect their tastes and the desired atmosphere of their wedding day.
- Event Coordination: Work closely with wedding planners, photographers, and venue staff to ensure the seamless execution of the event timeline, including announcements and special moments.
- Live Mixing: Perform live DJ sets during wedding receptions, including transitions between songs, mixing tracks, and adjusting the music to match the energy of the crowd.
- Technical Setup: Set up and operate DJ equipment, including sound systems, microphones, and lighting, ensuring all equipment is functioning properly before and during the event.
- Client Communication: Maintain open and professional communication with clients throughout the planning process and on the day of the event, ensuring all their musical needs and preferences are met.
- Crowd Engagement: Read the room and adjust the music to keep guests entertained and engaged, creating an enjoyable and lively atmosphere.
- Professionalism: Represent Toast to That Entertainment with professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a DJ, preferably with a focus on weddings or similar events.
- Strong knowledge of various music genres, with the ability to cater to diverse audiences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Technical proficiency in DJ software, equipment setup, and troubleshooting.

- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
