We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a school-based setting for the 2026–2027 school year. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to help provide speech and language services to PreK–5 students.
The SLPA will assist with implementing treatment plans, documenting student progress, supporting therapy sessions, and carrying out clinical and educational activities within the scope of practice and supervision guidelines established by the supervising SLP and/or physician.

Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering speech and language services to students

Implement treatment plans and therapy activities as directed

Document student progress and maintain accurate records

Support speech and language screenings, assessments, and interventions as permitted by state regulations

Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student success

Maintain compliance with district, state, and professional standards

Participate in meetings and training as required

Graduate of a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program with an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field

Successful completion of at least 100 hours of supervised fieldwork experience (or equivalent clinical experience as required by state regulations)

Current SLPA certification and/or licensure in the State of North Carolina

Compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice

Current health certificate (if required by state regulations or contract)

TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age

One (1) year of professional SLPA experience

Previous school-based or pediatric experience

Contractor-friendly school district with a strong history of supporting staff
