Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to join our team. The Assistant Property Manager will assist in the day-to-day operations of our properties, ensuring a positive experience for tenants and maintaining the overall integrity of the properties. Responsibilities:
- Assist with property leasing activities, including showing units to prospective tenants, conducting background checks, and preparing lease agreements
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards
- Respond to tenant inquiries and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of tenant information, rent payments, and maintenance requests using property management software or data entry systems
- Assist with financial management tasks such as rent collection, budgeting, and expense tracking
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure efficient property operations
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs or violations of lease agreements
- Assist with the preparation of reports on property performance, occupancy rates, and financial metrics
- Stay up-to-date with local housing laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property management or related field preferred
- Strong customer relationship management skills with the ability to effectively communicate with tenants, vendors, and team members
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or property management software is a plus
- Knowledge of real estate administrative processes and procedures
- Understanding of Section 8 housing programs is a plus
- Basic knowledge of facilities management principles
- Ability to perform basic property maintenance tasks as needed
- Proficient in data entry and record keeping
- Familiarity with legal administrative tasks related to property management is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
